Documents

The following are documents about ACT UP New York's organization and means of how to be an activist. We are dedicated to empowering groups to take direct action to end the AIDS crisis.

Because of the length of these files, we encourage people to download and distribute them. These are examples, not regulations. Different chapters in different locales will organize in ways best suited to their conditions. Above all, ACT UP is committed to a democratic, inclusive activism.

Please be sure to look through as many as possible, since several sections interconnect.

FAQ: > I have been unable to print out your web pages and I finally figured out
> why. Most of your pages are designed with white text on a black
> background, and when printed, the black background is dropped out and
> white text on white paper doesn't work very well (OK, not at all).
If you use Netscape, check the black and white options in the print dialog box, the black background disappears and the white text prints as black. I'm told the Microsoft's web-browser has a problem with this. You could also copy and paste onto another word program. Additionally, you could have the pages "mailed" (i.e. save as) to you which will come as text files.
